Now, we’re taking that mission even further by partnering with Greenspark, an incredible organization dedicated to restoring marine ecosystems through kelp seaforestation.

What Is Seaforestation?

Seaforestation is the process of planting and restoring underwater kelp forests—vital ecosystems that are often called “the rainforests of the sea.” Kelp plays a powerful role in reversing climate change. It absorbs carbon dioxide up to 50 times faster than trees, provides a natural habitat for marine life, and even improves ocean water quality.

Through Greenspark, we’re supporting projects that are planting and protecting kelp forests in areas of the ocean that have been severely damaged by climate change, pollution, and overfishing.

Why This Matters to Us

Bush Berry is based in the heart of the beautiful BC mountains, surrounded by forests, rivers, and wild spaces that remind us every day why protecting the planet matters. But environmental responsibility doesn’t end on land.

Oceans absorb more than 90% of the excess heat generated by greenhouse gas emissions. Supporting the health of our oceans is one of the most powerful ways to protect biodiversity, regulate the climate, and create a thriving future.
