Bush Berry EmpowerHER Fund
At Bush Berry Tea, we believe in the power of tea to bring people together, create change, and uplift communities. This International Women’s Day, we are proud to introduce WOMANLY—a tea that goes beyond flavor and fragrance to make a real impact in the lives of women in the tea industry.

A Cup with a Cause: The Bush Berry EmpowerHER Fund
WOMANLY is more than just a tea; it’s a movement. 100% of proceeds from its sales will go directly into the Bush Berry EmpowerHER Fund, a newly established initiative dedicated to supporting women in tea farming and production. Through this fund, we aim to create tangible opportunities for women who have traditionally been underrepresented in the industry, helping them gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to take on leadership roles in tea production.
Supporting Women Empowerment Projects in Nepal
The funds raised will support Women Empowerment Projects in the eastern region of Nepal, where tea is a way of life but opportunities for women in leadership remain limited. Over the next few weeks, we will be developing a formal proposal in collaboration with the Nepal Tea Collective to ensure the greatest possible impact.
Our initial plan is to launch a Perma Tea initiative through the Impact Club—a project designed to provide hands-on experience to women studying tea production. Our vision is to select 4-5 women from the region and offer them internships where they can gain first-hand knowledge of tea-making, from cultivation to final production. These women will have the unique opportunity to create their own batch of tea, marking the first-ever tea inspired by Permaculture philosophy. This initiative will not only support sustainable practices but will also empower women to craft their own future in the tea industry.
Why It Matters
Women are the backbone of many tea-growing communities, yet they often face barriers when it comes to decision-making roles and career advancement in the industry. By purchasing WOMANLY, you’re helping to break these barriers and support a future where women in tea have the resources, education, and opportunities they deserve.
We invite you to join us in this mission—one sip at a time. Let’s make tea a force for good and celebrate the women who cultivate, craft, and create the teas we love.
